A philanthropist and supporter of the nonprofit Children for Peace, founder of Nabila K cosmetics, Nabila Khashoggi is the author of the children’s graphic novel series Spartan and the Green Egg. Outside of her professional life, Nabila Khashoggi is a mother of two who embraces healthy living and enjoys meals made with organic foods whenever possible.

Organic foods are agricultural products grown by farmers who do not employ the use of pesticides, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), ionizing radiation, sewage sludge, or synthetic fertilizers. Organic meats, eggs, and dairy products are those that come from animals who were not fed antibiotics or growth hormones as they developed. Though medical journals have yet to conclude there is higher nutritional value in organic foods, several major benefits to eating organic have been identified.

One of the main benefits of organic foods is that their development causes a lower environmental impact than nonorganic farms. Organic farmers focus on sustainable growth practices and natural resource cycling rather than predominantly relying on chemical pesticides and fertilizers, which have the potential harm both wildlife and the earth. In addition to contributing to environmental health, this also yields products that are less likely to contain traces of pesticides when consumers purchase them, lowering the likelihood that an individual consumes pesticides by 30 percent.
